MR. JOHN HENRY MYLES
A celebration of life for Mr. John Henry Myles of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, will be held Saturday, September, 17th, 11 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Brother Ken- neth Lee, officiating. The in- terment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
John H. Myles was born January 29, 1941. He was raised in Tallahassee, Florida where he attended Leon County public schools. He moved to Tampa in 1962 where he was employed at First National Bank, Westing- house, and retired from Tampa Housing Authority. During his free time, he en- joyed the outdoors and spending time with his fam- ily.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Tempy Lee Myles; brother, Eddie Myles; sisters, Lucy Bouie and Corrine Myles.
He leaves to cherish is precious memories with: his wife, Trudy Myles; children, Tyrone Myles of Tallahassee, FL, Marie (Tempy) Foutgar of Atlanta, GA, Vera (Myles) Tel- fare, Lyzenia Myles, Fredrick Myles, Angelica Myles-Mc- Cogg and Lisa Myles; sisters, Elmira Myles of Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Ellis, Ethel Arnold, Geneva Campbell and Annie Lee Singleton all of Tal- lahassee; brother, David Myles of Tallahassee; uncle, Willie Bruce; grandchildren, Antonio and Antoine Cloma, Gena, Darmesha, Yesenia and Emilia Rejouir, Tyesha, Khailih and Nushawn Mc- Cogg, Amaria, Kingston, Maleasya and Tre-meia Myles, Mario Myles-Lewis, Capurs, III and Maurice Richardson; and a host of great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrat- ing the home going of Mrs. Shirley Peeples Porter, who passed away September 10, 2016, will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, 1 p. m. at The Center For Manifesta- tion, 3102 East Lake Avenue, Tampa 33610, with Apostle Mark T. Jones, Sr., pastor and Apostle Anna Gibson, officiat- ing. Interment will be placed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Shirley Porter was born March 19, 1941 in Tampa, Florida to the late Herbert, Sr. and Ruth Lee Peeples. Shirley was a pillar of the community and was well respected by her peers. She attended schools in Hills- borough County. She resided at her residence for 48 years. She last attended Holy Taber- nacle Light House of God under Apostle Anna Gibson.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Major Porter; sister, Hattie Gerald; brother, Earl Peeples; and grandson, Mario Bouyer.

On Monday evening, Sep- tember 5, 2016, God saw Benita getting tired, an earthly cure was not to be found. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered, “Come with me.” She graciously accepted her Master’s call, and departed to be with Him.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Deacon James O. Brunson; grandfa- thers, Malichi Sherrod, Joseph Chapman, Sr.; grandmother, Lillian Gordon-Brunson; great grandmother Queen Victoria Brunson; nephews, Barrick Brunson, Jr., Jarred Lawson, and cousin, Darrin Sanders.

A celebration of life service for Deaconess Evelyn Lampkin, who transitioned from labor to reward on September 5, 2016, will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 17, 2016, at Tyler Street Church of the Living God, 1102 South Tyler Street, Plant City, FL, at 11 a. m. Interment will fol- low at The Garden of Peace in Plant City.
Deaconess Lampkin was pre- ceded in death by: husband, Lejoy Lampkin; parents, Alphonso Evans and O’vilir Evans Clayton; sisters, Gladys George and Mary Smith; broth- ers, Leoniah Evans, James Clay- ton and Joseph Clayton.
She leaves loving memories with: her sisters, Merlyn Vickers and primary caretaker, Deloris Washington (Ernest); 2 broth- ers, Lawrence Evans, Robert Clayton (Mary Joyce); care- givers, Kayla Mapp, Brianna Smith, Garland Harvey. She will also be remembered by her other family members, godchil- dren and many friends.
Deaconess Lampkin was born on October 12, 1926 to the parents of Alphonso Evans and O’vilir Evans in Plant City, FL. She attended Midway Academy through eighth grade and even- tually completed high school at Marshall Adult Evening High School.
Mrs. Lampkin was the first African-American hired by Mc- Crory’s Five and Dime Store in 1948. She retired in 1985. She then worked in the Bursar’s Of- fice at Hillsborough Community College, Plant City Campus until 1987. She was best known as “The AVON Lady.” She was rec- ognized as a national top AVON representative from 1958 to 2010.
Deaconess Lampkin loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Tyler Street Church of the Living God. She served as a Trustee for over 40 years, Sunday School Superin- tendent, Treasurer, H.Y.P.B.C. leader, founder and manager of the “Happy Stars” singing group. In 2007, she received the Plant City Black Heritage Award.
The wake for Deaconess Lampkin will be held this Friday, September 16, 2016, from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. at Tyler Street Church of the Living God, Plant City, FL.
