Box Office With $50 Million Debut
In Vancouver Casino
Paramount/Viacom Inc.’s Nobody’s Fool earned $14 mil- lion on its opening weekend, coming in third at the box of- fice. That’s not a great result, both in terms of being a Tiffany Haddish vehicle (Night School opened with $26M six weeks ago) and being a Tyler Perry comedy, but nor is it a disaster. Yes, it’s Perry’s first R-rated comedy, but this will still be his third- lowest directorial debut ahead of only Daddy’s Little Girls ($11m in 2007) and The Single Mom’s Club ($8m in 2014). The big question for the $19M-budgeted comedy is whether Paramount can pull the kind of overseas numbers for a Perry flick of which Li- onsgate could only dream. Anything over $3M overseas

A casino in Vancouver is apologizing after being put on blast by Drake. According to the superstar, he was racially profiled at the luxury resort Parq Vancouver and blocked from gambling at their casino. Over the weekend, Drake posted an Instagram story call- ing out Parq. He wrote: Parq Casino @parqvancouverbc is the worst run business I have ever witnessed...profiling me and not allowing me to gamble when I had everything they originally asked me for.
Drake didn’t go into further detail about what happened but the incident was enough to spark outrage and cause Parq to apologize for what hap- pened. In a statement, Parq’s president Joe Brunini issued an apology.
“You may be aware of a sit- uation at our casino last night. On behalf of Parq Vancouver we would like to apologise for the experience our customer had. We are operating in one of the most complex, highly

regulated industries and are always looking to better our communication and customer service.
We are constantly improv- ing our communications process to ensure that these new regulations are better un- derstood by all guests. We cat- egorically stand against racism of any kind. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and enjoyable experi- ence for all.”
would be a personal best. Twentieth Century Fox’s foot-stomping biopic about the influential British rock band Queen is on track to sell an es- timated $50 million in tickets at 4,000 theaters in the U. S. Bohemian Rhapsody will
notch the second biggest open- ing for a music biopic ever, be- hind 2015’s Straight Outta Compton ($60.2 million).
It cost about $52 million to make. Overseas, it will add about $72.5 million in ticket sales this weekend.

Kim Kardashian West
is speaking out.
Hours after British outlet The
Sun reported that her ex- boyfriend Ray J allegedly made bold claims about their sexual history during a night out in London earlier this week, the reality star hopped online to weigh in on the situation.
In response to a fan who wrote that the singer’s admis- sions seemingly proved “he is suffering from low self-es- teem,” Kardashian wrote that she thought it was a sign of something else entirely.
“Or shows he’s a pathological liar,” she wrote of her ex, with whom she was in a 2003 sex tape, adding three crying with laughter emojis.

this story? It’s too funny to me!”
