MS. GERTRUDE B. MOORE
A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Gertrude B. Moore, who God called home on the morn- ing of February 2, 2018, will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a. m. at Re-Birth Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 1924 E. Comanche Avenue Tampa, Florida, Rev. Dr. Zachary Hud- son, Pastor, with Rev. Dr. Henry J. Lyon, officiating, Eulogist. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Gertrude will be deeply missed by: her four children, Donna K. Williams (DK), Kath- leen Williams, Curley L. Williams, Jr. (Buck Newly) and Donald Stittiams (Main). The love that is strengthened and the bond that is created between a mother and a child is uncondi- tional. There is no love like the love a child receives from their mother and she is permanently in the hearts of her children. She also leaves a host of grand- children and great grandchil- dren.
This amazing soul was not only a daughter and mother, she was a sister as well to: Hattie Mae Parson (the last of her liv- ing siblings); a host of cousins and a host of extended family whom she loved as though they had the same blood flowing through their veins.
Ms. Gertrude Moore was born on November 8, 1937, to the parentage of Dave Brown and Johnnie Mae Bell in Helena, Arkansas. She was a very hard- working, independent, strong- willed woman. She was a state employee for many years until she medically retired as a Su- pervisor from the Laundry De- partment.
The gift that she brought to the world was her insatiable zest for life. Laughter was a more be- fitting name for her. Everyone that was blessed to come into her presence would find them- selves laughing at something she did or said. Her remedy for life was good food, good com- pany, laughter and a pepper- mint. She worked diligently to empower and encourage her four living children to be “their own man or woman in this world.” She made a difference in the lives of everyone she met or gave advice to.
There will be a viewing on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from 5-8 p. m. with the family present to receive friends from 5 – 6 p. m.
Friends are asked to assem- ble at the church on Saturday at approximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.
