HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Newly Renovated Lee Davis Center To Have Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Monday
Hillsborough County in- vites residents of all ages to get a first look at the state-of-the- art, renovated Lee Davis Com- munity Resource Center during the building’s ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Oct. 2 at 10 a. m.
The renovated center, lo- cated at 3402 N. 22nd Street, is modernized for improved func- tionality, safety, and cleanli- ness, and will house several County department services and programs, including Aging Services, Health Care Services, Head Start, Library Services, and Social Services. Addition- ally, there will be two on-site community partners: Derrick Brooks Charities and the Sickle Cell Association of Hillsbor- ough County.
Following the ribbon-cut- ting ceremony, visitors are in- vited to stay for an open house to explore the building’s new additions, including:
Head Start Program offices and classrooms; Health Care Services’ Healthy Living Cen- ter; Library Services’ Public Computer Lab; Queen R. Miller Suite; Aging Services’ Lee Davis Senior Center; and Social Services.
The $2.8 million renova- tion began in March 2016 and was completed this summer.
