Brooks Review 2024
• As forecast, sales at Brooks were flat in 2024 (€12m). We have held our
position amongst ever-increasing and aggressive competitors due to the hard
work and dedication of our sales team. Community Housing market share was
maintained in 2024; however, the spending on Smoke Alarms was behind in
2023 in our two largest states. We are expecting this to return in 2025.
• Brooks also had a year of reform. We redefined some of our internal processes,
ERP, and products to make us more efficient and transparent. Our Technical
Services team, introduced in 2023, realised benefits in 2024 with an increase
in sales in our Panel Business. We have recently introduced a new quoting and
reporting system, which should also increase sales in 2025.
• A new Sales & Marketing strategy covering Smoke Alarms and Panels
was also developed in 2024 and will be released to the market in 2025.
We have also been working very closely with Ei Engineering team and
aligning our process.
Market Perspective 2025
• 2025 has a positive outlook. Starting the year with
the launch of a new company overview, we will have
breakthrough new products to shake the Fire Systems market in particular
segments. The introduction of Firefocus and FTOne will make a statement on
the Australian Fire Safety market.
• We are very excited about our new approach as legislation cycles return.
• While 2024 has been a hectic year pulling our future together, we very much
look forward to the year ahead.
After a transitionary period, Brooks hosted the National Conference in
Sydney Head Quarters. Peter Murphy and Eric Duignan joined Brooks for the
conference. Company management shared the new strategy that each state shared
their insights and views on the market and how they will move the next year

The engineering team at Brooks
worked over a year to deliver a
top-tier new product that found
a gap in the market where
hard-of-hearing customers
were looking for a new option
to protect themselves from
fire hazards. Visalert PLUS

much part of the fabric of the Brooks-Ei

the Companies dating back to 1992.
Over the years he was key to many of the
joint development projects between the
Companies, and expertly managed all of the
local testing and certification requirements
for the Australian market. Thank you Anis
and happy retirement !
