 The President will provide resources where appropriate and required.
The President will stay abreast of and evaluate pertinent national and local trends and high impact practices for information and decision-making.
Public Safety will improve employee knowledge of their services.
Public Safety will implement a “Virtual Academy” for public safety employees to develop and/or advance their career objectives.
Information Technology Services leadership will develop a process to identify employee goals and establish appropriate professional development opportunities.
Information Technology Services will develop a department-wide onboarding process for new employees in the division.
Finance & Administration will support the new employee onboarding process by integrating a Finance
& Administration module.
Human Resources will provide leadership and collaborate with other departments to update and implement onboarding processes.
Human Resources will facilitate career development pathways.
The President will monitor completion of the strategic goal on a monthly basis and stakeholder perception annually.
The President will monitor current trends and best practices on a monthly basis.
Public Safety will provide orientation to all new employees within 30 days of hire.
Employees who participate in the Virtual Academy will complete courses and receive certificates of completion.
The process is implemented and each manager is using the new process.
A process checklist is completed that covers a comprehensive program
for bringing new staff into ITS.
The Finance & Administration module is implemented and integrated into the new employee orientation procedure.
A new leader onboarding program is implemented.
A new employee checklist is implemented.
An internal internship program
is implemented by April 2019. Individual career plans for employees are implemented by July 2019.
