it’s not because
i deserve it
“Indeed, by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God.
You were not saved by your works, so no one can boast
about it. For we are God’s creation, created in the
embrace of Jesus Christ, to do good works, which God
prepared beforehand!” Ephesians 2:8-10
“For it is God who works in you, both to will and to act
according to His good, loving purpose.”
Philippians 2:13
Lord, help me, when You bless me,
To not feel that I deserve it,
To not see it as a reward for supposedly good deeds,
But to live deeply within me that it is a freely given
gift from You!
Lord, help me, when I do something good,
To not take credit for it,
But to see even that as Grace, as a gift from You!
Lord, I thank You for the good works You have
prepared for me to do!
But, Lord, grant me the will, the strength, and the
ability to carry them out!
