Brian Schmidt (1967-), an American
astrophysicist, naturalised citizen
of Australia, who won the Nobel
Prize for Physics in 2011, along with
the American Saul Perlmutter and
Adam Riess, for their discovery of
the accelerating universe, that is the
speed our universe is expanding.
