The statement "Tia likes red" is written (Tia, red).
The statement "Dani likes the color blue" is written (Dani, blue).
The set of sequential pairs for this relationship is written: {(Eva,
red), (Roni,
black), (Tia, red), (Dani, blue)}.
So, the relation between two sets, for example set A and set B, can
be expressed as an ordered pair (x, y) with x A and y B.
c) Cartesian diagrams
The relationship in the picture above can be expressed in a
Cartesius diagram. The members of set A as the first set are
placed on the horizontal axis and the members of set B on the
vertical axis. Each member of assembly A paired with a
member of assembly B, is marked with a period (•). For more
details, take a look at the Cartesius diagram showing the
following "color -loving" relationship.
