Flammable Hazard Signs

A disti llery has been fi ned aft er a worker was engulfed in fl ames
and left with burns to his face, head and neck in a fi re that
destroyed the warehouse and its contents.
The employee was transferring a highly fl ammable liquid.
An investi gati on by the HSE found that the most likely source
of igniti on was discharge of stati c electricity generated by the
transfer of the liquid.
