Fork Lift Trucks

As an employer it’s your duty to make sure that vehicles used
in your workplace are safe for use, driven safely and by people
who hold a license. Ensure that all of your vehicles are regularly
checked and maintained, you can do this by using our Forklift
tag system. Inserts allow you to control pre shift inspecti ons and
maintenance of your fork lift trucks. Inserts also have an easy to
follow pre-operator check list. For more info see page 92.

Batt ery Charging

When working on or near batt eries, ensure
you wear the correct PPE (gloves, goggles,
apron and suitable footwear) Keep sources HSSA
of igniti on away from batt eries. You should HEAL TH AND SAFETY SIGN
ASSURED
not work with batt eries if you have not ASSOCIATION
received adequate training.
