Please read through the grant application process before filling out the application and returning it.
SEC: Student Enrichment Committee
Provide funds to classroom, entire grade, enrichment program, or the entire school. Funds will enrich current and/or
Goals of SEC future students of Kenmore Middle School

PTSA Members: 1 Executive Committtee member, 1 Board member (serving as chair), 2 PTSA members.
KMS Staff: Principal/Asst., 1 Certificated Staff member, and 1 Classified Staff Member.
SEC Members Excluding the Principal, SEC members may only serve for 2 consecutive years.

Student Enrichment Grants are intended to cover items and events that the school would not otherwise offer, but that
enrich the KMS student experience in some way.
Grants are not intended to cover curriculum.
Grant requests are to be submitted before purchases are made. SEC will not reimburse requestors for expenses after the fact.
Guiding Practices Approved or disbursed funds must not be carried over into the next year.

Grants will be collected and reviewed by the SEC three times a year.
Grant cycles end Nov 30th, Feb 28th, and May 31st.
Grant Review All grants turned in before the cycle ends will be reviewed together by the SEC, and applicants will be notified of approval
Process or denial. Review process will take place within 2 weeks after the cycle deadline.

Projects can be fully or partially funded, or denied. The requester will be notified via email. If funded, the PTSA treasurer
Funding will write a grant check to the school after receipts/invoice have been provided to them.
