Anti-Corruption and Misconduct
Thailand Post Company Limited (THP) recognizes the importance of combating corruption and misconduct, and actively supports the implementation of master plan under the National Strategy on Anti-Corruption. The company also adheres to the Anti-Corruption Action Plan (2023–2027) of National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) and complies with government policies and laws related to anti-corruption. To ensure that THP’s business operations are transparent and trustworthy to stakeholders, THP Board of Directors announced a policy and operational guidelines for combating corruption and misconduct on 15 January 2024. These guidelines apply to the Board of Directors, subcommittees, executives and officers. The Board and subcommittees are assigned to oversee and ensure that the policy is appropriately implemented. The executives have the responsibility to encourage the officers to put the policy into practice and supervise the officers to implement the policy, whereas the officers have the duty to adhere to and refrain from any action that violates or contradicts the said policy by avoiding actions that may cause a conflict between personal interests and the interests of THP, not engaging in corruption or misconduct, not offering or accepting gifts, bribes, or any other benefits that could be quantified as monetary gain, unless legally permitted. If any corruption or misconduct is witnessed, the officers are required to report
clues or incident through the designated reporting channels. THP has established a comprehensive system and processes to support anti-corruption efforts. These include the creation of an anti-corruption action plan, channels for reporting clues or incidents in the event of corruption or misconduct, measures to protect and provide fairness for whistleblowers, disciplinary process and punishment, as well as appropriate and efficient internal control system and human resource management operations. These processes are designed to promote and strengthen the fight against corruption and misconduct. THP commits to reviewing these policies annually. In 2024, the company collaborated with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) on anti-corruption activities and projects, such as signing a memorandum of understanding to promote governance and corporate governance, engaging in best practice exchange activities, implementing the anti-corruption action plan for state enterprises (2023–2027), participating in International Anti-Corruption Day events organized by the government in collaboration with NACC, Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), and Anti-Corruption Organization of Thailand. THP also participated in the initiative to strengthen good governance and enhance the corruption prevention and suppression in collaboration with Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO).
