not only physically and mentally but also listens to each other
with sympathy and empathy as well.
According to the scriptures, when Jesus said, “I am there where
two and three gathered together in my name”; what kind of
Christic presence the families expect in our family prayers?
“A blessing messiah” or “a suffering messiah”? Today, with all
growing technologies we miss the presence of Christ in our
families with the lack of family prayers every morning and
evening. The families today are in a big transition from macro
to micro to global. Though we are divided by distances, the
technologies, if we use them, can unite us in family prayers
and also show empathy to our women and the daughters of our
        families with a resurrection hope.
Conclusion: Personal conviction of an encounter and
experiencing the Cross is to start from the women in our
families. If we fail to understand the tears or the personal
sufferings that the women undergo deep in their hearts, we could
never understand their tears for hope. May the Christ presence
stay with us all the men and women to bring the resurrection
hope from the cross we carry every day for our children in the
families, churches and societies at large.

        Prayer
Merciful God, thank you for your empathy towards all
those who weep and mourn. We thank you for your resurrection
that grants us hope and wipes away our tears. Help us to affirm
the worth and dignity women in our families and society. In
        Jesus’ name, Amen.
