Malchus - Is he an important man? No. he was
unimportant as far as Christianity is concerned. And yet he is
referred in all four gospels, is named in the gospel of john, and is
even referred to a second time in john’s gospel as “ the [servant]
of the high priest..Whose ear peter cut off (john 18:26)

That is all we hear of him in the scriptures. We never
read anything else about him --- only that peter cut off his
ear, and Jesus healed him- nothing else! But we all known that
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
        righteousness” (2Timothy 3:16)

We can observe the following situation as that time
1.Peter cut off malchus right ear – as a result violence
             created

2.Jesus told peter to put away his sword – Jesus established
             peace

3.Jesus touched his ear and healed him – Malchus was
             Encountered and healed

First in anger and fear peter took his knife and cutoff
Malchus’ ear, which created quarrel among the soldiers and
disciples. but is stopped only when Jesus entered and healed
        Malchus.

We know peace and love comes from God. Even Jesus
in his last hours, never departed from his divine value, that is,
showing love Jesus did miracles and healings for the people
who believed that Jesus could heal them. But here, Malchus was
healed, despite his unbelief. It is a paradox, yet it reveals the love
of God that embraces even an ‘unforgiveable’ sinner.

God’s love is not only for the saved and Jews. His love is
unconditional and for all. This is proved in the malchus case.
Only God’s love can encounter the people; only his love can
        establish peace in violence.
