poor’ being a significant slogan of Liberation theology should
influence us to respect the voices of the discriminated. Pilate’s
wife though a woman, did dare to speak for justice and in favour
of the truth. She is a model for us to take a stand against wrong
decisions and policies. May God help us to be strong in our
convictions.

Prayer

Loving God, help us to be bold as Pilate’s wife. Help our
unbelief and fears so that we become agents of justice and well-
being for all, even at the cost of our life. Help us to be mindful of
the poor and the unheard to empower them to fight for justice
and right to life, Amen.
