Coordination (Governance)
Fiscal year 2022-2023 was a year of transitions for the department of
coordination (governance). The archdiocese of Seattle continued its
initiative to standardize and improve parishes’ technology, security, and
parishioner engagement systems. The new parishioner engagement
system was implemented and will allow volunteers to sign up for serving
opportunities as well as track stewardship of Treasure and Talent pledges.
The system is also being used to schedule rooms for meetings and events
and allows ministry leaders to directly request events and rooms.
We continued to improve our bookkeeping system and General Ledger
accounts using the new online program for our accounting.
The parish began transitioning to the new online giving system
which is fully integrated with the parishioner engagement system. The
new payroll system, is now fully implemented and all employees
are using it to track their hours and benefits. All these changes will help
the Coordination department fully support all the ministries and programs
here at St. Stephen. The Coordination Department is continually planning
to improve our facilities and address deferred campus maintenance
challenges and be good stewards of all the resources gifted to us by God.
