A. INTRODUCTION
1. Brief Description
In this e-book, material regarding recount text will be discussed. A
recount text is said to be a text that tells the e past experiences or events
experienced by someone. The events experienced by a person are told
sequentially according to the structure of the recount text. The recount text
structures are Orientation, Series of events, and Re-orientation. The
language features also need to be considered when writing a recount text,
for example, the use of the simple past tense, the use of chronological
connections, etc. Recount text can be used when someone wants to tell an
experience that has been passed, such as a vacation, or an event that just
happened a few hours ago. Either a good or bad experience.
2. Relevance
This e-book will explain more clearly the definition of recount text;
social functions of recount text; text structures of recount text consisting
of orientation, series of events, and reorientation; explain the language
features of recount text consisting of simple past tense, adverb of time,
adverb of sequence, conjunction, and chronological connector, linking
verb, and personal participant; as well as explain types of recount text,
namely personal recount, factual recount, historical recount, and
imaginative recount. After studying this module, students are expected to
be able to understand the material about recount text.
3. Study Guide
The learning objectives of this material are to help students be able
to identify and present recount texts about personal and historical events,
according to the context of their use with discipline, responsibility, and
collaboration by paying attention to social functions, text structures, and
language features that are correct and in context. The following is a study
guide for studying this e-book.

b. Understand the main and supporting material by reading and
interpreting it.
c. Read other learning resources that are relevant to the material being
