REMEMBER!

 The definition: A text that retells activities or events or
experiences experienced by someone that happened in the past
sequentially.

 The social function: To retell events or incidents or experiences
that occurred in the past with the aim of informing or entertaining
the reader

The text structures of the recount text consist of three parts. There are

orientation, series of events, and re-orientation.

1. Orientation

Orientation is the opening part of the text or introduction which

contains the background of an event, such as who was involved, when did
it happen, and where did it happen.
