3. Using Conjunction and Using Chronological Connectors
Recount text uses conjunctions and chronological connectors to sort
events or incidents. Conjunctions are words that link other words, phrases,
or clauses together. And chronological connector/connector of a sequence
is a conjunction used to express the sequence in which an event occurs. For
example,
Conjunction: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, after, although, as, as if, as
long as, as much as, as soon as, as though, because, before, by the
time, even if, even though, if, so that, in case, etc.
Chronological connector: then, next, in the end, until, in
addition, etc.
4. Using Personal Participant
A personal participant is a person who is actively involved in an event.
Usually, he is stated or written with a pronoun. For example: I, we, my
group, my friends, my husband, etc. In recount text, usually, the personal
participant will appear in the orientation section as an introduction to the
character or characters in the story.
