TAyA STEWART
Taya Stewart is a los angeles native dedicated to uplifting her community. She is pas-
sionate about helping students form underserved communities apply to college and
scholarship programs. Taya graduated from pepperdine university with a bachelor of
Science in business administration in december of 2019 and is currently pursuing a
master’s in information Systems at california State university, los angeles. She is on the
board of interstate Scholars, which is a nonprofit that aims to help low income students
consider and experience out-of-state education.
JARENN STEWART
as an obese child, Jarenn was constantly ridiculed and bullied, but after being intro-
duced to sports at a young age, his life took a turn for the best. he found his passion
in sports and fitness and ultimately went on to pursue a b.S. in Kinesiology at the uni-
versity of maryland on a Track and field scholarship. after graduating in 3 years, he fin-
ished his ncaa eligibility while pursuing an m.S. in exercise physiology at long island
university in brooklyn, ny.
post-graduation, Jarenn started his career as a personal trainer to help combat the
childhood obesity pandemic. while hosting health and wellness workshops for youth
in the Jamaica, Queens community, he co-founded two sports startups in new york city – Superme performance, a company
aimed at recruiting sports coaches for high schools, and force athletics, a youth basketball organization consisting of 20+ teams
ages 9-17 years old.
in 2016, Jarenn sold both companies to Solera Sports, a holding company for various health and wellness brands, and agreed to
stay on to continue driving the strategic vision of both companies as cmo. under his leadership, the companies have impacted
6K+ young athletes in the Tri-state area and have now expanded to miami and denver as well.
Jarenn is currently a second year mba at ucla anderson and is specializing in marketing and entrepreneurship. This summer,
he was a brand management intern at procter & gamble and worked across the on The go portfolio, driving strategy for Tide,
downy, and bounce product offerings. passionate about advancing black representation in business, he is the co-president of
the black business Students association and a consortium liaison for ucla anderson. outside of his school community, Jarenn
serves on the board of all peoples community center in dTla and holds membership in nbmbaa and mlT. he enjoys all things
sports/fitness related, as well as motorcycle riding, food festivals, and spoken word.
