Activity: Identification of tissues in an animal organ
The students’ knowledge about the different types of tissues present in an animal body was
reinforced, by drawing the diagram of an organ present in an organism. The different tissues
that make up the organ were identified by the students and their specific function in that
particular location was also illustrated in a creative manner. This activity helped the students
to recall and connect to the location and functions of the various animal tissues present in an
organism. Students also appreciated the role of nature in creating complex organisms and the
ability of tissues to work in unison for effective function and survival of organisms on planet
earth.
