grade 9 actively participated in a quiz conducted to enhance all these skills, where
they identified different examples in day to day life and grouped them into elements,
compounds and mixtures.

Activity: Origami (paper folding activity)
Hobbies benefit children in numerous ways because they are expressions of personal
accomplishment and means of self-discovery. These activities always give pleasure to the
individuals. For the children to experience the same fun, a paper-folding activity (origami)
was conducted in the class and children participated enthusiastically. They followed all the
steps meticulously and were happy with the end result. The children were proud to display

their origami boat, table and a chair. This motivated the children to share their hobbies thus

resulting in a fun and interactive class.
