World Environment Day is observed every year on 5 June to raise global awareness to
take positive environmental action to protect nature and planet Earth. We at Sri Sri
Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Bangalore North consider our environment as a matter of vital
importance. We endeavoured to drive this point of preserving and enhancing the
environment amongst our students so that they can make this world greener and can
take earnest initiatives to heal the environment.
Lockdown didn’t reduce the excitement of students preparing for the World
Environment Day. An array of activities had been organised to sensitise the young
minds and to contribute to raise environmental protection awareness among the
population with a particular focus on youth. The students of SSRVM-BN pledged as the
Green Ambassadors and promised to serve as an example of how practicing healthy
living positively impacts both the community and our planet. We will reduce, reuse and
      recycle.
“Environment is green but we need to make it clean.”
Children exhibited their art work in the form of drawings and paintings which
showed their love to the nature. Few children also spoke about environment.
“THE BEST TIME TO PLANT TREES WAS 20 YEARS AGO.THE SECOND-BEST TIME IS NOW”
The students portrayed their understanding about nature, its conservation and
importance in the form of Poster making, poetry, best out of waste and essay
writing. The children understood that we need to act now to protect our nature
      from destruction.
