Activity: Evolution of numbers

An introductory Activity was conducted for the students on the topic Large
Numbers. The history and evolution of numbers from pre historic times to the modern
time was discussed with the students and explained with the help of a PPT
presentation. The number system of Stone Age people, the Egyptians, Hindus, Arabic
and modern system were discussed. The children participated with enthusiasm. The
modern numbering system from 0 to 9 based on number of angles for each number
was explained to the children. The children showed much interest in learning about
the evolution of numbers.

Activity: Making the children understand the

concept of four fundamental operations on

large numbers

A quiz on the topic of Operation on Large
Numbers as an introductory activity was
conducted. A PPT with questions was sent to

the children and the children were asked to

be ready with the answers which was later
discussed and compared with the answers on
the PPT.

Children participated in the quiz with
enthusiasm and commented as Awesome!!!
