               Course Description:

               Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA), is a complete management
               and accountability process that is focused on the results achieved as a result of your
               agency’s activities. ROMA was created in 1994. It is a management approach to the
               business of providing social services. Its goal is to increase your agency's capacity to
               serve as a catalyst for self-sufficiency in your community. ROMA is based on best
               practices developed for nonprofit institutions.



               Learning Outcomes:

               Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

                   •  Summarize the elements of ROMA as framework for case management
                   •  Differentiate elements of the ROMA cycle
                   •  Classify elements of assessment-identifying strength, prioritizing needs
                   •  Demonstrate comprehension of the OARS technique and the use of powerful
                       questions
                   •  Discuss scaling
                   •  Compare and contrast the different types of motivation
               Teaching Methodology and Assessment:


               This is a computer-based self-paced course supplemented by a facilitative instructor.
               There are 5 graded assessments. The assessments are based on the course material
               and are comprised of discussion questions. Answers are submitted through the
               Learning Management System. Assignments are uploaded in the system by a specified
               due date. Assignments are graded by the instructor and feedback is offered to each
               student. Grading is based on pass/fail.

               Criteria for Successful Completion:

               To successfully complete this course and receive CEUs, students must receive an
               overall grade of pass on all submitted assignments.
