Welcome Greetings, everyone!

Welcome to this year’s Cabinet Retreat. This event continues to stand
as the ongoing Elevation and Transformation of Claflin University, with a
particular focus on the success of our students.

During our time together, we are set to engage in deep and meaningful
conversations centered on three critical themes: Surviving our Mission,
Executing on the Market, and Sustaining on the Margin—aptly
referred to as the "3 M’s." These discussions will be crucial in navigating
the evolving landscape of higher education and ensuring that Claflin not
only survives but thrives.

Your ideas, leadership, and visionary thinking are essential! For those of
you who are joining us for the first time, your fresh perspectives are
especially valuable, and we all look forward to integrating your thoughts
into our path forward. Together, as a unified team, we will explore
strategies to ensure the continued success of Claflin and, by extension,
the success of our students.

Let’s commit to making this retreat not only productive but also
enjoyable as we undertake the important work ahead of us. Welcome
