ONLY HEALTHY LIONS ROAR
AM I “WELL” TODAY?
Mental Health Revisited
Although May is considered “Mental Health Month,” every day should be as important.
Mental health issues that are left unchecked will develop like deeply rooted trees with branches
that encroach into other areas of life. A Mental Health Pandemic may develop. We must
become “watchers” for our brothers and sisters in our communities.
In addition to providing needed service, one of the underlying missions in our community of
Lions is to promote happiness and empower everyone with “mental wellness.” After “We
Serve”, our clients should walk away feeling supported, informed and safe because we are
aware there is a connection between the wellness of the physical, psychological and social /
emotional health in every person.
