                   FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT AT
                          “SOCCERROOFTOP”

Brooklyn Sunset Park Lions hosted their Annual Summer Outing on
Thursday August 22 under the leadership of Lion Damaris Santiago who
is the first female president in the history of this club.

This year’s theme was “Soccer” and the “SoccerRoofTop” was an appro-
priate venue for Lions, friends and children from the community to ex-
plore and enjoy the view from the elegant Whale Building in Sunset Park.

It offered an amazing view of the Sunset Park landscape and community.
The event started with a Lions’ Welcome and a review of the safety rules.
In addition to soccer, the children enjoyed traditional games including
Jimbo Jenga, Potato Sack Race and Tug of War. (see photos at right)

Lunch was served, courtesy of Sunset Park Lions Club. Special thanks to
IPP George Cardona, 1st. VP, Lion Cynthia Felix and other committee
members. Lion President Damaris is grateful to all the contributing spon-
sors and supporters for their generous donations.
