My dear Lions and Leos,
Today, I bring this fact to the forefront:
LCIF is OUR FOUNDATION. This reality should give us a
sense of pride, when we realize that we play an important
role in the success of services rendered to those in great
need throughout the world. Our mission through Campaign
100, is to empower clubs to help their communities as they
support through humanitarian efforts those services that are
needed to alleviate the various maladies that afflict others in
our community and all over the world.
Congratulations to District 20-K1!
We raised over $56,000 during LY 2020 - 2021 with
participation from only 40 clubs! It was a year filled with
many challenges due to Covid-19, but in our humanitarian
spirit, that did not deter us from remembering those less
fortunate than ourselves. We went above and beyond our
projected goal for the year! What an accomplishment! And
it happened because of who we are as Lions and our
commitment to think of others beside ourselves when there
was a need.
Thank you, Lions, for a bountiful year!
* The goal of Campaign 100 is to raise $300M in 3 years,
($216.9M) has been raised so far.
* We pledged to perform 600M Acts of Service in that same
period of time. As of August 25, 2021, twelve (12) clubs
in 20-K1have donated $17,653 to LCIF with 18% of clubs
reporting service. The challenge for this year is for ALL
CLUBS (77) TO MAKE A DONATION TO LCIF by June 30,
2022.
No amount is too small. May I suggest that you put LCIF
on your WISH LIST for this year. Let us trump what we did
last year and set a new goal for this year; 100% of District
20K1 clubs give a donation to LCIF, thus becoming a 100%
District in donations to LCIF. It is doable, it’s achievable!
Can we do it? Yes, we can! We must always remember the
services rendered because we gave.
* Campaign 100 ends June 30, 2022. It ends in 2023 for
model clubs, and It’s not too late to achieve that status.
There are clubs that can still achieve that goal, just a little
extra push and you can make it. Thank you to all Lions who
gave monetarily or in hands on service.
