FROM THE OFFICE OF:
District 20-K1, PAST DISTRICT GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION
Greetings Lions and Leos:
It gives me great pleasure to address you as President of 20-K1 PDG Association.
This is a position that demands leadership with integrity and commitment according to the Association’s
Constitution and By-laws.
Each PDG is afforded the opportunity to be nominated and elected to lead as president for the duration of 1
year. It is important that I inform our newer Lions who may have little knowledge about the guidelines of
operation for this association.
Like the other PDGs, I am committed to uphold the status of being recognized as a great district in the
Multiple and we must ensure that we always present ourselves and serve with excellence. A sitting District
Governor may appoint PDGs to the positions of GMT, GLT and GST. These offices are critical to the
success of a district. To every PDG, membership recruitment and retention, presenting at
workshops, leadership development skills and relevant, timely community service projects are the basis for
successful clubs and a thriving district. The above-mentioned areas will help measure our success. As the
PDGs lead in these areas, we identify and mentor other Lions who will mature into future leadership.
As president of this association, I pledge to support this district and propel it forward. With our diversity of
cultural backgrounds, careers, and talents, District 20-K1 is poised with plenty of innovative ideas to make
significant contributions to providing humanitarian service. Especially in these uncertain times of economic
hardship and health insecurities among marginalized communities, the need for respite service has
becomes even more critical.
As PDGs, we envision ourselves as leaders by example. We will “team and grow as we serve from the
heart” to make today’s vision tomorrow’s reality.
We look forward to a productive year as we partner with our DG and his team to achieve his goals and
objectives.
Respectfully Submitted
PDG Barbara Moody,
President
20-K1 PDG Association
