Greetings, Lions, Leos, and Friends,
Let me take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year, and much
success in all you plan to accomplish in your communities and globally
during the rest of this Lionistic year.
LCIF “Campaign 100” is nearing its completion, not without its challenges.
But as we reflect on the recent days, months, and couple years, you will
agree that Lions all over the world developed a bond, proving that we are
stronger when we serve together, regardless of the challenge.
Now let me share with you some updated statistics:
* As of January 7, 2022,
* Total donations = $246,247,139, (82.1% of our US$300 million global
goal.)
Why participate in “Campaign 100”?
To ensure that we maintain a powerful future of service.
Many Lions have gone above and beyond during this campaign and LCIF will
recognize these donors during the final year of “Campaign 100”.
• In our District 20-K1, I’m proud to report that as of January 10, 2022,
32 clubs have made donations totaling USD$54,960.00.
* Our goal is to raise $100,000.00 with 100% club participation.
Lions, Leos of 20-K1,WE CAN DO IT!!!
When we say that our district is ‘Second to None’, it won’t be just a
cliché
but a ‘Reality’.

We are 1.4 million strong who respond to the needs in our communities and
around the world, with kindness and love. During this pandemic, Lions
across the globe developed alternate strategies to serve safely, From food
deliveries to healthcare workers to providing medical supplies where they
were needed the most, Lions and Leos showed that “Kindness Matters” and
they continued to “serve from the heart”
Here are some important reminders:
a. The Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) is the backbone of our Foundation.
It represents a donation of US$1,000 to LCIF.
This affords a significant contribution to humanitarian service and to the
legacy of our founder, Melvin Jones.
b. The Progressive Melvin Jones Fellowship (PMJF) program is another
opportunity for donors to extend their commitment to LCIF.
c. Make a resolution to support “Campaign 100” by completing the Pledge
form or donate online.
d. Your donation of US$100 can make a significant impact on our Global
Causes.
Or consider planning a district LCIF fundraising event.
We can see the finish line for “Campaign 100.”
For our district to reach our goal, each Lion must cooperate!
Our success depends on YOU.
