          TIE THE TEAL RIBBON


                 ON THE TREES



   On September 15, 2022, District 20-K1 T.E.A.L Committee partnered
   with the T.E.A.L Organization in the annual “Tying of Teal Ribbons”
   around the trees along Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. They began at
     th
   17 Street and Fifth Avenue and concluded at Flatbush Extension
   spreading awareness about ovarian cancer. The Lions proudly and
   neatly tied the teal bows around the trees and distributed flyers to
   businesses along the route and to the many women they
   encountered.                                         Lion Chairperson Helen Dluzewski (Right) with Lion Co-
   Lion members from New Horizon, East New York, Crown Heights,  Chair Pamela Taylor (Left)
   Midwood, Rising Star, Central Brooklyn and Transition participated
   in this joint venture. A total of 13 Lions were present and Lion
   Helen Dluzewski, Chairperson of the District T.E.A.L Committee
   sincerely thanks all who came out to support the cause and spread
   information about ovarian cancer, the deadly female disease.
