Mrs. Margaret Christine

   Ayerle Honored as

 Emerald Ambassador

           of Aruba

PALM BEACH - Recently the Aruba Tourism Author-
ity had the great pleasure of honoring a very special
Lady who is a loyal and friendly Visitor of Aruba, as
an Emerald Ambassador of Aruba at the Holiday Inn
Beach Resort. The symbolic honorary title is presented
in the name of the Minister of Tourism as a token of ap-
preciation to guests who visit Aruba for 35 and more
consecutive years.
The honoree was Mrs. Margaret Christine Ayerle from
Hatfield Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ayerle, better known as
‘Chris,’ has been visiting Aruba for over 45 consecu-
tive years, since the time that there were only 3 hotels
on the Palm Beach strip.
She remembers the time that a group of goats used
to walk every day along the strip and across the street
from the hotels where there were many palm trees
and beach grape trees.
During all these years she is responsible for sending a
very big group of family and friends to the island and
most of these people are also loyal visitors now.
Chris loves the island so very much because of the
friendly people, the fun Holiday Inn staff, the weather,
the food, the water and the Aruban traditions, and she
always says that Aruba is her home away from home.
Mr. Ernest Giel from the Aruba Tourism Authority pre-
sented Chris with the Emerald Ambassador certificate
and the commemorative coin representing over 35
years of consecutive visits to Aruba. Also present dur-
ing the ceremony were a group of friends and family
from Chris, and Mrs. Aleja Le Grand, Mrs. Mariana Leon
and Mr. John de Cuba, representing the Holiday Inn
Beach Resort.q
