PREPARATIONS for the most liked party in Aruba have started with a lot of
energy and positive spirits and as usual young ones continue to surprise us with
their talents and brilliance.
Tomorrow July 28 starting at 7:00pm at Cas di Cultura the 2015 Gang di Arte (Art
Gang) competition finals will take place. It is going to be a huge and unforgettable
competition.

The teens went through a fun and interesting preparation process. They started
with the Dream, Dare, Do project which was organized by Popcorn Club. The
Dream, Dare, Do project introduced them to the energetic art atmosphere.
After this they started brainstorming ideas for their final presentation which is
entitled ‘Party’ while receiving workshops from young teachers such as Joshua
Duf Gonsalves, Taiisa Alleyne, Jaenedy Semeleer, Samantha Trinidad, Germille
Geermen, Fatme Faarup-Rogaud and Anuar Habibe.

These workshops were aimed towards helping the participants work on different
aspects like: their insipiration source, improvising, teamwork, exploration and
sensitization, body expression, using body language, presentation techniques and
stage performance. Bettering all of these aspects would help them develop their
concept and improve their final presentation.

This project is sponsored by the Aruban Minister of Culture and is executed by the
Implementation Sector of the Aruban Cultural Department. The project was held at
the Aruba Academy of Fine Arts & Design. The project is for youth between the ages
of 13 and 21 and is currently being held for the 9th time. The goal is to motivate and
stimulate young ones to show their artistic creativity.

Every year the Gang di Arte has a specific theme which motivated kids to work on
their own original art pieces and to present this in front of a judge that will evaluate
the art piece. The winner of this competition will be given the opportunity to
represent Aruba in numerous cultural exchanges such as Kunstbende (art gang) in
Holland, Curacao and Aruba.

Entrance is free and all participants have tickets for anyone that wants to come
enjoy the show.
