Sandy & Stephanie Enjoy Art by Aruba’s Sandra Van Der Linde

ORANJESTAD - While visit-
ing the island of Aruba,
you may encounter a small
woman standing in front of
a huge painting. This wom-
an is local artist Sandra
Van Der Linde. She started
painting after a dream in-
spired her so much that
she went out and bought
a canvas and paints and
to her surprise, the dream
became a reality. When
viewing her paintings, you
may feel like you are being
transported to Heaven.
One of her inspired paint-
ings now hangs in the re-
ception area of the Dr.
Horacio Oduber Hospital.
The name of this work is ‘Di-
vine Light.’
Another painting, a four
foot face of Jesus was fea-
tured by her as she stood
along the highways and
rotundas as traffic passed
by. Most of Van Der Linde’s
paintings are life size and
while viewing them you
might just walk into a path
that leads you right to
