Adding an Order -on Subsequent Visits

o Select the appropriate order type: Plan of Care Update, Lab Order, or Physician Order
o You must use Plan of Care Update to add Pathways. If entering Plan of Care Update (Pathway), you can
include other orders (meds, visit freqs.) in this order, except for Labs.
o The Lab order must be entered independently, outside of a visit, as this order is transmitted directly
to Apex Labs.

o If entering just meds and/or visit frequencies, use Physician Order.
o Fill in all needed fields at the top of the order
 Choose Physician from list. If the order is from a physician other than the listed physicians, click
on the “All Physician” button, type in last name and search. Click on name to add that physician
to the order.
 Send to Physician – Remains with a green Check (unless you already have an order from the
physician)
 Enter the verbal order date and time.
 Wound care- Choose “No” if not entering wound orders
 MUST Complete Order details under “Instructions”
• Write why you are writing the new order.

• Re-ordering of Physicians:
While you are in the visit:
1. From “Visit Actions”, Select “Demographics”
2. Choose Physicians
3. TAP on the Red Edit text.
4. Select one of the Grey search buttons (three dots…) to indicate whether the Physician you are entering is
Primary or Secondary
