b. Posters and Flip Charts
Posters and flip charts will be beneficial in a small group presentation.
Poster Posters should look professional (e.g., not
handwritten), be visible to everyone in the
room, and follow design rules covered
later in this chapter. Posters should be
able to represent the message of the
presentation. They should be well-
designed and can attract audience
interest.

Flipcharts
We can also use flip charts to help explain
the content of the presentation. A flip chart
is a large pad of paper on a stand. It can be
used for writing or drawing the important
information of the presentation. Make sure
our handwriting or drawing can be read or
seen by the audience clearly. Although flip
chart is a useful way to record the
information, it is not ideal for a large group
presentation. The use of flipcharts is best
limited to situations where audience input
is necessary for the direction or
