but it was too late. The truck was stuck in muddy road. The men jumped out the truck except
Joe. After seeing the stuck wheels, Leon blamed Joe for his careless driving. Under the
pouring rain, Leon ordered Pedro and Manuel to cut branches and put them under the
wheels. While Pedro and Manuel were cutting branches, Leon had an argument with Joe,
since he did not get out of the truck to help them. The other three men worked on the stuck
                       wheels.

Not long after that, Joe heard the noise. It was the helicopter. When the helicopter lowered
the rope, Leon already passed out. Joe had to tie the rope around his body. Joe held Leon’s
body carefully while they were lifted in the air. Soon, the four men arrived safely in the base.

Then, Leon ordered Pedro to climb back the hill that they passed with the radio to call help
from the base. But, Joe stopped him. He argued that the radio was not strong enough to
reach the base since they were too far away from the base. He said that the radio would
work better at the other side of the river. Leon and Joe had an argument again whether or
not they crossed the river by themselves. Then, Joe told them his plan, but Leon doubted the
plan would work. Yet, he gave it a try.

A few moments later, the boat was approaching a waterfall. Leon ordered Joe to let the boat
go and save himself. Joe still refused, and then he saw a rock. He tried very hard to pull the
boat to the rock. Reaching the rock, Joe asked Leon to jump for the rock. He did. Then, Joe let
go the boat and swam to the rock. On the rock, they felt relieved, but they were not safe yet.
The water was rising even the rain stopped. What they could do was waiting for the help.
They relied on Pedro to call the base.
