3 Identifying Key Skills

What is skill? It is all abilities to do something that comes from training,

experience, or practice (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Thus, key skills are all
highlighted abilities you have to impress your employer. There are three

categories of key skills that are needed by employer:

 Marketable skills are skills performed by employees in order to get paid.
Those skills include all the foundation skills (will be explained later) and also

skills which are written in the job vacancy ads.
 Transferable skills are the skills that can be transferred from one job to

another. It means that those skills can be applied widely into different jobs.

 Motivated skills are skills that an employee enjoy doing. You may think
about the achievement or great experiences you have gained either those

related to work or not.
