Joining A Club Has Only Enriched My College Experience
Before I get to college at Miami University, I already pick out a few different organizations
that I am interested in joining. However, when I get to campus, I felt overwhelmed by all the
opportunities that I am presented with. I am at school with over 500 different clubs and
organizations, and all of them looks so interesting.
Luckily I stuck to my plan and join the club that draw my attention the most since before I
come to school. Now, I am a proud member of Miami Dance Corp.
In high school, I participate in multiple different sports that involved dance, such as color
guard and synchronized swimming, and I am also in musicals. However, I never actually just do
dance, so I know this is going to be a very different experience. I am scared, not going to lie.
Terrified, actually I am expecting a room full of ballerinas who will not accept my different
experience.
I am wrong.
The cool thing about college, in general, is that everyone comes from different
backgrounds, so when I walk into my practice, I notice that everyone is on their own level, and
