A. Here is a brochure of resort at Barbados Island. What did it promise for the customers? What
facility did the resort provide?

B. Pair work. Here are several complaints on the resort service. Match the complaint to what the
resort promised on the brochure. Which point of the brochure is the complaint about?

A. The accommodation was hideous; the air-conditioning didn’t work, the windows
were filthy and I’m sure there was a rat hiding somewhere. It was more like a
dormitory in a cheap hostel.
B. The hotel didn’t have its own pool. We had to walk several kilometers to a public
beach near the city – it was so crowded we couldn’t even find a place to sit.
C. I’m surprised we didn’t die from starvation. The portions were very small, and
the selection was very limited. We were forced to eat in a restaurant belonging
to another hotel.
D. The hotel was dreadful. It was a tiny building by the harbor and was very basic.
E. The sea was full of dangerous fish. One day we even saw shark. There were no
dolphins; the sharks had probably eaten them.
