Maryam : “Oh, there is a guy who lives across. He is (3) __________ . He greets me
enthusiastically as I arrive. I learn that he gets along well with almost everyone on
the block. He has a younger sister. Their personality is the opposite. His sister is (4)
__________ . She does not like to talk a lot.”
Devi : “Do you get along with her then?”
Maryam : “Although she barely talks, she shows courtesy by greeting people including me. I
: think she is (5) __________ kid. So, maybe we can get along later.”
Devi : “Woah… it seems all your neighbors are nice, aren’t they?”
Maryam : “Unfortunately, not all of them are nice.”
Devi : “Really? Tell me about it.”
Maryam : “There is an old man living next to the lady I talked about earlier. He is so (6)
__________ . He often talks harshly to everyone. Indeed, there are times when he
talks normally and acts friendly, too. The lady says he is (7) __________ . His moods
                                   always change every time.”
Devi : “Oh my God! I can’t imagine having to live near him. I’m not that (8) __________.”
Maryam : “Certainly. He will get on your nerves. Hahaha… “
Devi : Well… Tell me about your neighbors again when you meet more of them. Now I
                                   have to go.”
                     Maryam : “Sure. See you!”
Devi : “See you! Take care.”

                 b. Imagine you are in charge of the student dormitory. A new student comes and asks you
to help him/her find a roommate. Find who among your classmates will be the best
candidate based on their personality traits, so they can get along. Share the result with
                     the class.

                       How to do it:

✓ Get a card containing clues about the new student’s personality
                            traits from the teacher.

✓ Go around the class and ask your classmates questions to find
                            out
                            about their personalities.
                            Example questions:
                                • What type of person are you?

                                • Are you a careful person?
                                • Do you always tidy up your room?
✓ Decide who will be the best roommate for the new student.
