In some places in Indonesia, franchise retail stores are allowed, while in other places, the people
have small stales to provide the daily needs.
Do advantages of allowing franchise retail stores outweigh its disadvantages?
▪ This type of question (Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages) needs two body paragraphs.
▪ Give your opinion in the introduction as part of your thesis statement.
▪ During your ten-minute planning stage, come up with ideas for both advantages and disadvantages.
▪ Remember to answer the question: “Yes, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages” or state the opposite.
▪ Remember that you need to write about TWO things: franchise retail store is a good thing because … AND
franchise retail store is a bad idea because …
