Side effect: The patient feels an
obstruction or pressure in the
throat, and will vomit or
regurgitate.
Treatment: The health care should
remove the tube and reinsert
carefully before resuming
feeding.

into the Duodenum or
beyond.
Side effect: The patient experiences
a severe diarrhea and reports
an epigastric pain.
Treatment: The health care should
confirm the NGT placement
with X-ray and adjust the
tube.
