I.  The electron  acceptor  in PS  I passes  its  electrons  to  an NADP+
                     molecule. NADP+ accepts electrons and a hydrogen ion is reduced,
                     becoming  NADPH.  NADPH  is  important  in  the  synthesis  of
                     carbohydrates in the Calvin cycle.
