     IT Essentials — Computer Operations
            Computer Operations Assessment Approaches
I hope you are feeling more confident about identifying the audit objectives and risks for each audit
program, and how to use the GTAG resource to help you prepare for a computer operations internal
audit engagement, or as individual audits covering each of the areas mentioned.
One last note I would like to share. Auditing computer operations may be performed as a single
engagement or may be broken into a series of engagements over an audit cycle. Depth of the
engagement and experience of the auditors will have a bearing on how the work activities are
distributed and what is in scope for each engagement.
