complex sentences
Four kinds of sentence
A clause is a group of words and sentences are made
up of clauses.
A simple sentence has just one clause.
A compound sentence joins simple sentences
together, using words like and, but or so.
A complex sentence joins clauses together using
words like after, because, who, where and
whenever.
A compound complex sentence is a combination
of a compound sentence and a complex sentence
Simple, compound, complex and compound
complex sentences are the four types of sentences
according to the structure.
