13. Hopess reserves the right to discount fee’s based on pre-payment.
B. Refunds
1. If a refund is due and/or requested, the administrative office will decide if validation of
the refund within 10 days and will refund any monies due within 30 days.
2. Refunds will be paid directly to the individual or entity that paid the original fee.
3. Hopess does not provide refunds on a common basis. Refunds may be given on a case-
by-case basis.
C. Room and Board
1. Residents whose insurance does not pay for room and board due to the resident
receiving income, will be required to pay for room and board fees by the 10th of each
month. Room and Board fee’s will not exceed 50% of the resident’s income. Late
fees of $10 per day will be assessed and fee’s that are late 30 or more days will result
in resident discharging from the program.
2. Residents who fail to pay timely after 15 days will receive a Notice of Discharge that
will indicate that if fees are not paid within 15 days they will need to discharge from
the program. Hopess will assist members in securing their next placement.
3. Hopess will ask each resident upon admission the benefits that they receive.
Residents who do not have an income will not be required to pay room and board.
Residents that do have an income will be required to pay their room and board – if
their insurance does not cover this benefit. Residents who initially indicate that they
do not have income, but it is later discovered that they do have income, will be
charged all applicable fee’s and late fees.
