Serves: 6 A great vitamin packed way to finish off that late night
movie at the end of the week.
Date Horchata
INGREDIENTS INSTRUCTIONS
6 cups water 1. Heat 2 cups of the water until it is hot, but not

raw. Drain and transfer the rice to a blender. Add

and cinnamon. Blend for about 1 minute. Test for
sweetness, and add more dates or maple syrup as
(optional)
2. Pour the mixture through a cheesecloth into a
1 cup almond milk
bowl; discard the pulp. Stir in the almond milk
and whisk until well combined. Transfer to a
serving pitcher. Serve immediately over ice.
